We've decided to stay at the Golden Nugget on Fremont next time we come to Las Vegas. Live music, looser gambling odds, cheaper restaurants and bars.you can't go wrong.
There's a constant show overhead on the tunnel-like roof with millions of LED lights. Wow, what a great time! It's really a high tech marvel. We spent a day at the Fremont Street Experience, having never been there in our many trips to Vegas. Unless you are mesmorized by famous TV chef's, you can get excellent quality food for half the price along Boulder Highway, the Fremont Street area, or anywhere off strip. we rented a car for less than $100 for 4 days, and still saved $100's by having the freedom to drive to the cheaper, but just as good, restaurants off the strip. The food prices in this resort are ridiculous, as is the case anywhere close to the strip.
All Rio employees we encountered were courteous, and helpful. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. My wife and I stayed at the Rio Hotel and Casino recently.
